TERMS OF USE

1. ABOUT THESE TERMS
These Terms of Use apply to HangulPro (the "Service"): the mobile apps, the web app at hangulpro.site/app and the website hangulpro.site. The Service is operated by MINIVERSARY, a sole proprietorship in Mokpo-si, Republic of Korea ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. THE SERVICE
HangulPro is a Korean language learning service: Hangul lessons and tests, word lessons, a wordbook, daily check-in rewards, achievements, characters and a leaderboard. Some features, such as the word lessons and the wordbook, require Premium. We may add, change or remove features, content and languages at any time, and the Service may be unavailable from time to time for maintenance or for reasons beyond our control.
3. ACCOUNTS
You can sign in with Google, Apple or a one-time code sent to your email. You must be at least 14 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) to use the Service. Give us accurate information, keep your sign-in secure, and tell us if you think someone else is using your account. You are responsible for activity under your account. You can delete your account at any time from Settings in the app or on the Delete Account page; deletion is permanent.
4. PREMIUM AND PAYMENTS
Premium is sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play. The price and the terms of the purchase (for example whether it is a one-time purchase or a subscription) are shown in the store before you buy. Payments, renewals, cancellations and refunds are handled by the store under its own policies, and we cannot refund or cancel store purchases ourselves. You can restore a purchase from Settings by signing in with the same store account. We may also grant Premium to an account as a gift or for support reasons, and may remove it if it was granted by mistake or misused. We may change prices for future purchases.
5. COINS, CHARACTERS AND RANKS
Coins, characters, levels, achievements and ranks are part of the game-like features of the Service. They have no cash value, cannot be sold, traded or transferred, and are not property. We may rebalance, reset or remove them, for example to fix errors or abuse. Coins are earned by using the Service and by watching optional rewarded ads.
6. ADVERTISING
The Service may show ads, including optional rewarded ads from Google AdMob. Ad consent choices are available in Settings where required. Ads and the products they promote come from third parties, and we are not responsible for them.
7. ACCEPTABLE USE
Do not: cheat, exploit bugs or use bots or scripts to gain coins, levels or ranks; copy, scrape, resell or redistribute the content; reverse engineer or interfere with the Service or its security; use the Service for anything unlawful; or choose a nickname that is offensive, misleading or impersonates others. We may remove a nickname, reset progress, or suspend or close an account that breaks these rules.
8. NICKNAMES AND LEADERBOARD
Your nickname, selected character, level and rank are shown to other users on the leaderboard. You give us a free, non-exclusive licence to display them within the Service for that purpose.
9. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The Service, including its software, design, characters, text, translations, audio and lessons, belongs to MINIVERSARY or its licensors and is protected by law. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your own learning. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership to you.
10. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
The Service relies on third parties such as Apple, Google, Firebase, RevenueCat, Google AdMob and Resend. Their own terms and policies apply to your use of them, and we are not responsible for their services. See our Privacy Policy for how your data is handled.
11. DISCLAIMERS
HangulPro is a learning aid. We work to keep the content accurate, but translations, romanizations and pronunciations may contain mistakes, and we do not promise any particular learning result. To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind.
12. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for loss of data or progress, arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have as a consumer under mandatory law, or liability that cannot be limited by law.
13. SUSPENSION AND TERMINATION
You can stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, if we must by law, or if we stop offering the Service. If we end the Service, we will give reasonable notice where we can.
14. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these Terms. The new version will be posted on this page with a new date, and for significant changes we may also tell you in the app. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, you accept the new Terms.
15. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes will be handled by the competent courts of the Republic of Korea, without affecting any mandatory consumer protection rights you have where you live.
